great conversations: mohamad mova al’ afghani

mohamad mova al-afghani

ed. note: we seldom know how far our path will take us. consider mohamad mova al’ afghani, an indonisian lawyer working for a uk-based firm in germany. we’ve had the most engaging and serendipitous conversations i’ve had with anyone, period.

mohamad:

your post on the nanotechnology blog was brought to my attention by the gang over at between lawyers. i have been writing about this topic on the practice management blog myself as well as on practice hacker (featuring exchanges here with Mark Cuban).

mazyar,

i am a frequent visitor of your practice management blog. i have been thinking of a simple but workable way to sell legal expertise online. i’ll try to blog it and will inform you.

ed.note: i had to ask how this colleague from the other side of the planet had even heard of me, much less become a follower of the blog. his answer is paraphrased here:

it was my former boss deleted who brought your blog to my attention. in fact he printed some of the pages and distributed them as a part of our cle.

how cool is that?

mohamad:

i too have been looking into ways to disseminate legal expertise online. this is a business question and a practical issue. i’ve worked out a number of business models and have one website ready to go based on such a model. that site was written by the subject of my breaking up is hard to do post. I am still looking for someone with PHP expertise and time to help finish the site and take the business live.
